About Me

I am a computer scientist in the Human-AI eXperiences (HAX) research group at Microsoft Research in Redmond.

I study web search, and the role it plays in supporting people's tasks and interactions with other technologies. To this end, my research intersects the fields of HCI and IR, and I am equally at home when building systems, running user studies, or analyzing large query logs.

Before joining Microsoft, I studied at the University of Waterloo, where I earned my Master's and Doctorate degrees.
